ABOUT

Born in New Jersey and raised in a rural farm town, Kristen spent countless hours studying dance from a very young age. After years of focusing on ballet in hopes of joining a professional company, she caught a performance on tv of Bob Fosse's iconic choreography in Chicago and was instantly captivated. With that, she traded in her pointe shoes for LaDucas, and a career path in musical theatre began to unfold.

Kristen attended Wagner College and received a BA in Musical Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. Post college she has had a variety of  exciting performance opportunities at many different venues, including the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Greenroom 42, The Barbara Man Performing Arts Hall, The Garden Theatre, Theater West End, YOW Dance, the Orlando Fringe Festival, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and various production companies.

Kristen recently made her directorial debut with Hello, Dolly! starring Jodi Benson, produced by Encore Performing Arts. The show was presented in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Previously, she served as the Assistant Director for the organization in past productions and has completed the hat trick of being an AD in all three theatres within the Dr. Phillips Center (she has also performed in all three theaters as well!).

Kristen also teaches the Broadway Magic workshops at Walt Disney World as part of the Disney !magination Campus and is a teaching artist for the annual Junior Florida Thespians Conference. She teaches audition and dance workshops across the country and hope to continue to be an advocate for making theatre more accessible for all.
